NSCC CADET DRESS WHITES

 

For Cadets age 13-18

 

Dress Whites or Summer Whites- this uniform will be worn April - September. 

 

IF AVAILABLE the unit will provide. If we do not have your cadet's size you will have to purchase it. Your registration fees DO NOT cover uniform costs. 

 

All patches need to be sewn.  Never glue or use press patches on them.

 

Rank Patches are to be transferred from your Blues to your Whites. 

 

Male & FEMALE uniforms:

 

This uniform consists of

 

  • White polyester jumper - unit will provide

  • White polyester trousers - unit will provide

  • Neckerchief - unit will provide

  • Dixie cup - unit will provide

  • Nameplate, over right chest 

  • Ribbon bar, over left chest 

  • White round neck T-shirt - you will provide

  • Black socks - you will provide

  • Black dress shoes - you will provide

  • Rank Patch as applicable.

  • Sacramento patch, worn on left sleeve.

  • Sea Cadet shoulder flashes, worn on both sleeves.

 

 

A Note on Pant Length:

Pants shall be hemmed in a manner such that the front of the pant leg just touches the second lace hole from the toe of the dress shoe. The back pant leg should rest just above the beginning of the rubber sole.

  • Nameplate goes on the right.

  • Ribbons go on the left. 

  • White shirt under the jumper.

  • Neckerchief tied neatly.

  • There should be no other patches found on the jumper other than the cadet rank patch, Sea Cadet flashes, and Sacramento patch.

Front

  • The nameplate is worn centered on the right chest of the jumper. The bottom of the nameplate is level with ribbon bar and parallel to the deck. 

  • Earned rank patches are sewn on the right sleeve 2 1/2 inches below the bottom edge of the shoulder flash.

  • Sea Cadet flashes/patches should be sewn on both the right and left upper arm/shoulder (1 inch below shoulder seam).

  • The eagle beaks face toward your heart. There is right and left versions of these patches.

Right

  • Ribbon Rack is worn centered on the left chest of the jumper. The bottom of the ribbons are level to the nameplate and parallel to the deck.  

  • A "Sacramento" patch (small/narrow) should be sewn approximately 1 inch below the bottom of the left shoulder flash.

  • Sea Cadet flashes/patches should be sewn on both the right and left upper arm/shoulder (1 inch below shoulder seam).

  • The eagle beaks face toward your heart. There is right and left versions of these patches.

Plain Toe Oxford

  1. This shoe is worn with winter and summer dress uniforms.

  2. There are no seams or creases in the toe of the shoe.

  3. You MUST be able to polish this shoe, no coraframs!
