     PROPER WEAR

Pay close attention to detail, for a simple working UnIFORM, every little DETAIL counts IN AN OVERALL SHARP APPEARANCE.

   RANK PLACEMENT

PETTY OFFICERS RANK PLACEMENT IS PRECISE.  EAGLES BEAKS POINT TOWARD THE HEART.

  • A USNSCC for Cadets or a USNLCC for Leaguers flash/patch should be sewn centered on the right front lower pocket.  All patches need to be sewn.  Never glue or use press patches on them.

  • A digital blue USNSCC/USNLCC tape patch should be sewn above the left breast. The ends of the tape should be folded back/under such that the width of the finished/sewn tape is the same length as the width of the pocket.

  • A digital blue last name tape should be similarly sewn above the right breast pocket.

  • A digital blue name tape should be sewn just above the right back pants pocket.

  • Name tapes are ordered and issued for the new Cadets. If the tapes are lost/missing, replacement tapes can be ordered online at http://www.1800nametape.com/usnscc.htm.

  • Unlike some other uniform shirts, rank patches are not worn on the right sleeve of a NWU blouse.

  • When your Cadet or Leaguer reaches the rank of Petty Officer, small NWU blue collar tab rank patches are sewn on the pointed collar of the blouse. They are positioned on a diagonal at the ends of the pointed collar within the boundaries of the top stitching.

Note: When attaching these patches, or any patch that has an eagle depicted on it, the beak of the eagle should always be pointed forward and/or towards the middle. Patches depicting eagles come in left and right versions.
