      March Drill is upon us! Many of you have grown out of your uniforms and don't know it. NOW is the time to take care of your uniform needs. TRY ON your Summer White Uniform. If you have outgrown the Jumper/top and or the waist of your pants, we will exchange your uniform for a better fit. If your pants need to be re-hemmed and there is enough material, you may have to take them to the cleaners if a family member cannot do it.

Gun Owners Crab Feed 25 APR 2020

      The Sacramento Gun Owners Crab Feed is a great Community Service event for our unit. Every year they invite us to their biggest event. They appreciate and support Sacramento Div / TS California immensely which is a credit to you and your shipmates!

Many of you are always on point and ready to go. However, if you have never been a part of this superb opportunity, NOW is the perfect time to jump in! This is one event you do not want to miss!

Show up in your WHITES! Sea Cadets in Summer Whites (white jumper - top and white pants) and League Cadets in your Salt and Peppers (white short sleeve shirt). If you outgrew, are NEW or never received your Summer Whites Uniform, this coming March Drill is the time to BE PRESENT and get it done! 

Every Sea Cadet and League Cadet should sign up!

UOD (Uniform of the Day): NWUs / If you were absent Saturday, BRING Your CLEAN Winter Dress Blues Uniform (Garment Bag)

Always Bring:

  • Hydration

  • $5 each day for Chow

 

Do not expect to skip Saturday, 8 FEB drill day as unimportant. It is the absolute final day to make absolute certainty your uniform is squared away for Inspection. Waiting until the last minute to get what you need is never a good idea. Make sure you bring your COMPLETE Winter Dress Blues Uniform in a garment bag to avoid spoiling your uniform. COMPLETE UNIFORM means everything that pertains to your Dress Uniform. If you do not own a garment bag, purchasing one is a good idea since you will need one for training in the future. If you cannot afford one at this time, use a large garbage bag by poking a small hole in the center of the closed end of the bag and put your hanger in the hole.

Your Winter Dress Uniform is Black for both Sea Cadets and League Cadets.

Quilts of Valor-NSCC Color Guard 01 FEB 2020

We are needing 4 Cadets, on 01 FEB 2020, for a Color Guard ceremony, put on by an organization that makes quilts for well-deserved vets. Lou Conter, (Arizona Survivor) will receive one on this day.

The ceremony will start at 1300. Be on time at arrival time below for a quick warm-up.

Revolution Express Track Meet- Community Service Event

For this Community Service event, to earn service hours, click on the slots you are available to help with:

  • 6-8:30 am (Set-up) 6 cadets

  • 8:30 am (Color Guard) 4 cadets

  • 8:30 -1:30 pm (track meet support) 20 cadets

  • 1:30 - 6:30 pm (track meet support) 15 cadets

Track meet support includes but not limited to:

  • Posting meet results on bulletin board

  • Water table at finish line

  • Walking athletes from clerking area to staging area on the track

  • Moving hurdles to various race marks

  • Award distribution

  • Raking long jump pits

  • Shagging turbo javelins or shot puts

  • Replacing high jump bar when it gets knocked down

  • Moving the starting blocks around the track

  • Bathroom breaks for other volunteers

  • Clean up of venue as field events end

RETC will provide lunch to the morning crew and a dinner for the afternoon crew.

Sac Division should consider bringing Ez-Ups (with weights to hold down on infield) and cadets should bring their own chairs to sit on.  If they have canteens or other water packs, should bring as well.

The concert starts at 1430, but they will need us to do the ceremony between 1515-1530.  Please arrive at 1430!

ALL CADETS AND LEAGUE CADETS

 

  • Report to Auburn for the parade. 

  • Meet at the Corner of Elm Ave and Lincoln Way in Auburn CA. 

  • Lunch will be provided at the end of the parade, HOT DOGS. 

  • Arrival time is no later than 9:30 AM.

  • UNIFORM IS WINTER DRESS BLUES.​

  • We will also have a NSCC color guard in the parade.

  • Parades do not count as community service.

  • Parents & Guardians can stay and watch the parade and collect their cadet at the end

Winter MINI BOOT CAMP (CADETS ONLY) 8TH, 9TH, AND 10TH OF NOV 19

If your cadet HAS NOT graduated from RTC or boot camp then they need to attend this weekend event. This will prepare them for boot camp.  They check in on Friday at 1900.

 

If your cadet HAS GRADUATED RTC they are qualified for staffing this drill. They check in on Friday at 1800.

 

Mini Boot Camp is an ALL HANDS EVENT for cadets. That means EVERYONE should be at Mini Boot Camp. 

 

This is an overnight event for the weekend. Cost is $30 for food for the weekend. You will be dropped off on Friday evening and picked up on Sunday afternoon at 1230 (parents please arrive at 1215). 

 

A sea bag list will be generated. 

 

Mini boot camp is a three-day prep for RTC Winter Training. It is not the RTC you need to get promoted, it is the event you attend to help you be prepared for the winter. RTC is short on days due to the holiday so mini boot camp covers a few subjects that the summer program has more time for.
